Jan 2, 2009 Terrific surprise at Brouwers Seattle on new years eve. Full aroma and taste, perfectly sour. very intriguing, rich and inviting, impressive. nice ruby color, both trevor211 and i said gemstone immediately. crisp, refined, lovely.

Jan 1, 2009 Pours a deep ruby color with great clarity - almost like a gemstone. Beautiful. Thin head. Cherries and apple cider - a wonderful tartness counters a very pleasant sweet undertone - this is like the Duchesse, but with a stronger tart presence. Simply delicious - I could drink this one all night long.

Dec 17, 2008 draft at stumbling monk - dark, reddish brown with thick white head; big sour aromas of dank, tart cherries; drinks soft and smooth; sourness not overwhelming; wine-like and smoothness from the oak; some zing to the body and none of that syrupy texture; very nice overall

Dec 9, 2008 Draft: dark red with a white head, funky, tart aroma, taste is sour but not overpowering which is what I prefer. Mello enough to have more than one. Excellent stuff.

Dec 8, 2008 A reddish brown ale with a thin white head. Aroma of cherries, lactic acid, barnyard, and cherry cough drops. A mouth puckering sour ale with ground cherries, lactic acid. rich and sultry. Wow. At Tap and Mallet, August 15 2008.

Dec 8, 2008 Updated: Apr 22, 2009Draft at capones. Pours a beautiful ruby body. Cherry tart with a tinge of vinegar in the aroma. Lightly tangy with balsamic notes and lemon. Had again at Rattle N Hum tonight, nice Flemish cherry character and a light oak accent. A fantastic brew for sure.

Dec 6, 2008 Guest tap at Willimantic. Amber in color. Funky and sour with some tart cherry, barnyard, some light oak. Taste has tart cherry and some straight up sourness, balsamic vinegar, a touch of sweet malt, Moderately funky and mildly oaky. Finishes with lingering tartness and a touch of vinegar. very nice.
