On tap. Pours a cloudy ruby red. Nose is sour cherries, funk, some horse blanket and sharp lactic acid. Flavor is a sharp fruity acidity, some sweet dark fruits, sour grapes, red wine and vinegar. Lovely!

On tap at Capital Ale House - Downtown on 08/03/2009. Very clear red body with a medium creamy off-white head that lingers. Slightly tart cherry aroma. Sweet slightly tart cherry flavor with some dry malt in the background. Medium light body with moderately high carbonation.

Unclear deep red. Quite sour cherry flavor similar to Rodenbach Grand Cru. After that this is my favorite flemish sour, and a pretty big drop off after this. Very tasty, exquisite sourness, and would be very sessionable if Ommegang would make more of this.

On tap pours a cloudy orange with a small head. Aroma is citrus and sour fruit. Flavor is very sour with a bit of funk in a good way. Finishes much like a sour lemonade, you want another glass.

On tap at Max’s on Broadway in Baltimore. Murky red pour with a big off white head. Aroma is sour cherry, malt, yeast, funk. a little bit spicy, a little bit sweet, very complex nose. Flavor is almost overwhelmingly sour at the first sip, but really shows of complexity and depth as you get deeper into the beer. A lot of wood, malt, dark fruit, and yeast all blanketed by one of the nicest sour kicks I’ve had ina beer. This is fantastic.

On draught at the Lazy Boy Saloon. Oaky and extremely sour with a yeasty cherry nose. As sours go, I’m sure this is top notch. The style, however, is such that I couldn’t drink more than a pint.

Tap at Coles, 4 oz sample. Cloudy ruddy-orange color, no head evident. Smells faintly of yeast and sweet-tart fruit. Taste - sour! Cherry, berries, tart apple spice and clean natural cola flavors. Feels great!
