Jan 22, 2009 Pours a golden yellow color that closely resembles urine, in a good way. head is large white and puffy with a copious amount of lacing on the glass. Tastes of light hops, and bananas. some hints of cannibus. neat and different beer.

Dec 30, 2008 EBF tap. Pours an orange amber hazy body with a light head. Dry yeast, some earthy musky hop character, light grape and and hints of lemon.

Apr 28, 2008 Draft, at EBF back in Feb(found some old notes). Poured hazy yellow golden with a moderate sized white head. Yeasty, earthy farmhouse aroma with some white grape juice adding sweetness. Flavor was primarily of a farmhouse ale, with earth, yeast, and some spice; the grape contributed some sweetness towards the finish. fairly effervescent with a dry finish. Interesting beer.

Mar 8, 2008 Draft at Max’s Belgian Fest 08, poured a hazy amber color with a lacey full head. Light spiced aroma. A little tart spicey flavor, with hints of grape. Not bad but a little to sour/tart for me.

Mar 6, 2008 Cloudy pale body with a fluffy white head. The nose is tart and spicy with lemon, pepper, hay and a touch of grapes. The flavor is lightly sweet with lots of pepper, coriander, white grape juice, oak and orange peel. Medium body is very soft with moderate carbonation.

Feb 29, 2008 Draft at Max’s 72 Hour Belgian Beer Fest. I emailed Phil Leinart at Ommegang and got this response regarding the beer: "We took actively fermenting Hennepin in a keg and blended in Gewurztraminer grape juice at about 8% by volume. The ABV was around 7.9%." Will adjust the ABV appropriately. Cloudy gold pour. Nose is grainy with straw, fruit and a strong wine-like aroma. Taste has some tart fruits, more straw yeast and a big wine grape flavor. Body is bubbly and very dry. Ends with more wine/grape notes, fruit and grains - pretty much what you’d expect a saison to taste like blended with a wine.

Feb 21, 2008 (Draft) Pours a cloudy yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of coriander, dried orange peel, lychee, rotten oranges, florals, perfume, and green apple skins. Flavor of coriander, orange, herbs, and mango with a semi-dry finish.
