Sampled on 2/16/07 on tap at Max’s 3rd Annual Belgian Beer Festival: Pours a murky orange brown with a full-lacing white head. Aroma of tart, slightly funky strawberry and lemon citrus with a touch of sweet caramel malt. Body starts with some slightly soapy bitter and mildly sweet tartness with some lightly oaky cherry complexity toward a drier, earthy tart finish with a touch of brett. A pretty good Flemish sour.

Very hazey, light amber body with a medium sized off-white head. The aroma is heavy with cherries, horseblanket, lemon, pineapple, lactic acid and light acetic acid. The flavor is moderately tart, lightly sweet, cherry, cider, vinegar and caramel. Medium/light body with lively carbonation, spritzy. Very nice.

Draft, Max’s 3rd Annual Belgian Beer Festival. Cloudy, yellowish-brown appearance; off-white head with fine-bubbled lacing. Pleasant funk, passion fruit, and citrus in the aroma. Medium-to-full chewy citrus mouthfeel: lively carbonation; coriander, marshmallow, yeast, and esters. Medium, chewy citrus and yeasty finish.
