| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 8, 2009 Pours an odd dark amber with medium off-white head, decent lacing. Couldn’t keep yeast out of pour despite 2 month sit in fridge. Aroma of tart fruit, strong toasted malt, caramel, yeast, and lots of spice. Flavor matches well, but just doesn’t come together in my opinion. Drinkable, complex, but just not my style. Plamadude30k (122), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 7, 2009 Pours a hazy amber color with a substantial tan head. Aroma is of yeast, fruits, and perhaps some spices. Cherry is rather present, as would be expected, but cloves and cinnamon are also there, if in the background. A very intriguing beer. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 7, 2009 Pours a lasting ring of beige head and a hazy, copper color body. Smells of dried fruit, yeast, and tart cherries. Same flavor. Nice carbonation and body. Nice finish. alagnak (359), Littleton, Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 6, 2009 2008 bottle. Nose is pretty boozy, but a generous swirl brings out musty cherries, bourbon wood and a healthy dose of sugar. Flavor is Cherry and brown sugar upfront, with a boozy middle and a nice sharp finish with the malt showing through. Not a lot of complexity for the style, but the flavors that are there a nicely done. Would like to try it with a couple years age on it and see the difference. Butters (1652), Virginia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 5, 2009 Big bottle with the guys at work. Pours a vey murky brown with decent beige head. Nose of caramel, plums. Flavor of cherry juice, raisins, and molassis. Vey enjoybale. And well hidden alcohol. Very nice. Duhast500 (178), , Massachusetts, USA

The color is a nice dark amber.
The smell is cherries, some barely flavor. Is sweet with a light malt flavor.
The taste is sweet sugar with a nice dark cherry taste. Some hints of malt, a little grain and some brown sugar.
My first Belgian quad and it was a great experience. The mouth feel to this beer was nice and light and was easy going down. Overall it was memorable beer experience.

It’s very strong, alcoholic, burns your mouth. Tastes of cherry, sour dark fruits, sweet malt finish. Not my favorite beer. beernovice39 (278), South Carolina, USA

This stuff just turns me off like others in ABT group....I know I can hear some of you..."NOOB", well I would love to like it but I don’t.....yet. Tried again with the wife, still don’t like it...she of course LOVES it and the ratings now reflect her opinion....
