Very interesting. This is quite drinkable with tons of dried fruits, yeast and complex sugars in the taste. Tartness is definitely there. A pretty nice beer, even if it’s more of a sour than an abt... mybestfriend (262), Gothenburg, Sweden
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 11, 2008 2007 Bottle. Pours a reddish brown med a beige head. Aroma is dried fruits, plums and some mature notes of madeira. Flavour has a nice sweetness and some tartness. A malty beer with notes of dried fruits, toffee (and the swedish candy kola-remmar) and some roasted notes. You can feel the high ABV just a bit. The finish is a bit roasted with fruity notes, some liquorice, some alcohol and just a hint of bitterness. Good one! deft (79), Sweden

High alcohol taste. changeup45 (800), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 9, 2008 Updated: Sep 11, 2009Pours a syrupy mahogany color topped with a nice creamy tan head. Subtle hints of cherry in a malty tangy aroma. A tangy mouthfeel. Rich flavors consisting of malts, brown sugar and cherries. Sweet with an alcoholic rush. Bottle states that this is "98% Ale with 2% Ale with cherries added" so I was concerned about a dominant cherry flavor. That was not the case as it blended in quite well. The beer is more enjoyable the more you get through the bottle. Great head retention. Solid.
