Aug 13, 2008 not much haze and not great head retention. flavor of a mild pale malt and wheat component, a little hop bitterness and just mild orange peel and coriander component. the yeast is the best part, providing some subtle intricacies that makes the beer very enjoyable

Aug 12, 2008 12oz from Total Wine, Durham. I thought I’d rated this but apparently not. The beer pours cloudy straw yellow with not as much carbonation or head as I’d expected (or would like). Pretty anonymous aroma, with faint traces of citrus (not much spice at all). The body is on the thinner side, the taste a bit of a wash. Pretty much on par with other wits, but a disappointment considering how good Ommegang generally is.

Aug 8, 2008 From a 750 ml bottle purchased at Gravity in Olympia, WA--Poured a hazy straw yellow slightly orange body with a thick white head. Big phenolic banana clove and nut nose. Citrus and spice notes rounded out this wonderful beer.

Aug 6, 2008 I generally trend toward darker, stronger beers ... so take this rating for what it’s worth. This beer pours a cloudy pale gold, with a nice head. The citrus notes here are lighter than in other wheat beers I’ve tried. (For instance, not as pronounced in a Shiner Hefe-Weizen). A good brew, but not up there with other Ommegang products.

Jul 30, 2008 Pour was very light golden with a fluffy white head. Aroma was light with sweet orange peel and coriander. Flavor was a little watered down. I was expecting a little more from this brew. If you really look, you can get the flavor that you want but I could have used a bit more flavor overall. Good brew but probably won’t buy again.

Jul 30, 2008 pours a light golden color with a large fluffy head that disappears quickly. scent is full of spices, wheat, and citrus. taste is a little disappointing. it tastes a little watered down. finish is kind of sour and leaves you wishing for more. would probably not purchese again.

Jul 27, 2008 Bottle(12-oz). Poured cloudy yellow, with a bright white head. Nose was bananas, cloves, and spice. Flavor was banana, coriander, orange peel, and yeast with a dry, refreshing finish--just a touch of bitterness at the end.

Jul 25, 2008 Pours with a large tight white head that leaves good lacing covering a vibrant, chill hazed yellow body. Aroma of wheat, coriander and a slight bit of sweet orange peel. Taste is spicey, with classic Ommegang yeast characteristics. Watery mouthfeel with light bubbles.
