Aromas of citrus, acidic-bready yeast, and slight bubblegum. Flavors are the same, plus a little dry lemongrass on the finish. Light fizzy body is refreshing and dryish. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 8, 2008 Pours a cloudy light gold in color. No head to be found, only a slight circle of froth sitting atop in the middle.
Smell is spicy and lemony. Taste has more citrus fruit in it. There is also some dark spices in the flavor. There’s plenty of carbonation as well. Very light, easy drinking wit. Refreshing and good. jeckenroth (81), Charlestown, Massachusetts, USA

Large but short white head. Amber to slightly gold. Cloudy.
Smelled of yeast, wheat and a touch of citrus.
Citrus with a large amount of spice, more than you would expect given the smell. Nutmeg roams throughout. Finishes with a nod towards orange peels.
Light and thin on the tongue, lively carbonation.
Very indicative of the style with your typical Omagang twist. Well done. moelikebeer (220), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 5, 2008 Poured a really nice cloudy lemonade yellow with a big fluffy white head. Smelled a little of wheat, but not much else, not a lot of spice or banana that you’d typically associate with wheats. Really thin and flavorless on the mouthfeel. Very watery. Left almost no impression on my palate. Fairly disappointing, but not offensive. jimthechap (174), Christchurch, New Zealand
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 1, 2008 I’ve got to say, as this was my first impression from a box of five Ommegang ales, brewed outside of Belgium and tasted half aworld away this was a good start. It had all the hallmarks of banana and cloves that you would expect from a Belgian witte. Quenching and light as a wheat beer should be. It was good beer to break the icwe with a prospective father in law as well, who enjoyed the experience immensely.
Would conform to all BJCP guidelines in its class, and a class act in itself. Well done to the brewer and brewery. JohnQPublic (387), Brooklyn, New York, USA
