Commercial Description:
Ommegang Witte, a traditional Belgian-style wheat ale with whispers of sweet orange and a touch of tart lemon. Soft and seductive, Ommegang Witte is this summer's version of spicy intrigue and refreshing flavor.

Bottled. A cloudy, medium golden pour with a fluffy white head. Citrusy, lemon and orange nose with some banana and spice. Typical flavor, wheaty, malty and a bit citrusy. Almost no bitterness, and fades into an amazing clover honey flavor toward the end. Very nice, although, to be honest, this is the weakest Ommegang product I’ve tried.

Poured from the bomber a cloudy yellow bordering on orange with a nice head. The aroma had floral notes and a whole ton of citrus. Had with a lobster and it went perfect with the soft meat and the smooth butter. Overall the beer was smooth and balanced but it times there was nearly too much orange. For the style it is up there on my list.

Fizzy, dissapating white head with a hazy, straw yellow color. Aroma of wheat, yeast, apple and lemon. Moderately sweet with some bitterness to offset and notes of lemon, wheat and very light banana. Lightly acidic lingering dry finish. Pretty decent for the price.

75cl bottle from Whole Foods. Pours a hazy, pale golden color with virtually no head. Very mild aroma with hints of honey. Surprisingly little flavor. Quite weak, almost watered-down. Decent enough mouth feel. Overall, an extremely underwhelming beer.

12 oz bottle into pint glass. Pours a nice hazy orange/yellow with a good white head that fades pretty quickly (looks just like picture here). Aroma: wheat citrus and light malt with a sweet sugary backbone. Flavor is pretty gentle with subtle citrus notes (orange and lime), cinnamon, and pale sweet malt. Soft and light bodied on palate. Overall: it isn’t complex in the east but it is a good refreshing summer beer.

Sampled from bomber: poured a cloudy, vibrant golden colour with a fluffy white head. Aroma is very pleasent, tropical fruit on the nose. Tropical fruit all throughout. Mouthfeel is incredibly creamy, flavors of soft spice, banana, mangoe and wheat.

First pour from the larger-size corked bottle was a weak, clear yellow, however upon last pour it became a cloudy honey colour topped with a fluffy white head. Some lacing, but I was expecting more. Taste is typical Belgian White, with some citrus, but there’s a sour hint in there. Like some other reviewers noted, a bit watery. Decent, but not exceptional like some of the other Ommegang brews.

Pours a light straw color with a nice, but quickly disappearing, head. The nose is all citrus with a definite lemon twang. Flavor is nice with definite orange peel. Kind of lacking a little overall. I mean not bad, but not the best.
