| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 1, 2007 Bottled at Järnet, Stockholm. Cloudy pale golden, small head. Light citric aroma. Medium sweet and light boided. Sevill orange marmelade mixes with vanila and coriander. Lightly yeasty otherwise fairly clean flavour profile. Still it feels alive and refreshing. A good example of the style. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 16, 2007 Bottle. Body-hazy dark yellow with a medium foamy quarter inch head. Nose-dish soap, pine-sol, grains of paradise, light coriander. Taste-thin, orange, light white grape, some berry, light alcohol, cantaloupe, orange push ups, light grapefruit, light phenols giving a slightly clove taste, medium mouthfeel, amazingly clean and very simple for a wit. I usually don’t dig wit’s because they all taste like coriander and soap, but this one is very refined. Unfortunately, the very fact that it is refined makes it thin, but I would rather enjoy a thin wit than a soapy over spiced train wreck (I’m looking at you, Hoegaarden). Clean and very doable. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 7, 2007 Closing down September on the deck with this one...lemon zest and spicy crispness...a fresh breeze in the bottle...soft yellow body with a bit of effervescence; thick, consistent head in a Hoegaarden tumbler....smooth palate with a slight drag along the tongue’s sides....balanced yeast and malt...a dry yet developed taste...elusive lemon hints....crisp and refreshing...is there a better summer witte? a few, I’m sure, but these New Yorkers didn’t travel to Belgium for nothing... | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 5, 2007 Cloudy pale yellow with a foamy white head generating scant lace. Estery wheaty aroma. Wheaty effervescent palate, slightly tart finish, but not a lot of middle character; lacking in the expected spices and citrus notes. Not bad, but nothing spectacular either.
