Commercial Description:
Ommegang Witte, a traditional Belgian-style wheat ale with whispers of sweet orange and a touch of tart lemon. Soft and seductive, Ommegang Witte is this summer's version of spicy intrigue and refreshing flavor.

Cloudy and light orange in color. Spice, yeast and citrus hit your nose upon pouring. Not bad.

Rated while drinking: Pours a cloudy lemonade-looking color with a small stable white head. Lots of wheat on the nose, some clove/banana elements, and some spices near the end. Pretty basic aroma for a witbier. Mainly citrus and lemon on the tongue with a note of spice at the swallow. Pretty weak flavor, but refreshing. Crisp and light and drinkable all throughout. One of Ommegang’s most accessible beers, but definitely doesn’t compare to their other offerings.

Cloudy, straw gold color. Huge rocky white head. Yeasty citrus malt nose reminiscent of fresh squeezed lemons. Very pleasant wheat malt flavor with an underlying salty lemon palate. Lightly carbonated and refreshing. The thick, rocky head stays right to the last sip. Very good.

bomber poured a hazy straw color with a fantastic two finger plus head on the beer.when the cork opened there was not much carbination but in the glass there was plenty. smell is wheat, yeast, spices, and light citrus peel. taste is right in line with the smell, light and refreshing, not overly spiced, and has a smooth finish. good beer but could use a touch of something that stands out in the taste, very taste neutral i guess i would say. well made beer none the less.

Clouded blond with a TALL foamy white head. Aroma is wheat, spice and lemon. Nice aroma! Taste is more of the aroma but fainter. The wheat comes out more but the lemon and spice are more subdued. The body is light and perfect for this hot weather. Finish is light and spiced. Good beer!

Bottle. Pours electric lemonade yellow, white head. Aroma is funky, musty, wheaty. The beer looks a bit cloudy, yet thin at the same time. Flavor is the same and watery yet not surprising given the appearance and aroma. This is the worst beer that I’ve had by Ommegang.

This is a very decent witbier right out of the bottle [hard to find!]. This is a comfortably carbonated beer with a smooth wheaty taste that has a slightly citrusy finish. I would tell fans of Paulaner or Franziskaner to give this a shot.

Pours a one-finger white head that fades slowly to a thin layer leaving some lace. Clear pale amber color. Lemon nose. Good carbonation and light-medium bodied. Flavor is lemon and yeasty. tart finish. 750ml bottle $5.99 from Capitol Convenience Concord, NH.
