| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 25, 2007 I noticed no aroma when I uncorked the bottle, though upon pouring I detected yeast, citrus and spice, but nothing overpowering. Poured a light, very slightly cloudy yellow, big white head that faded slowly into nothing, little lacing on the glass. Pretty light in the flavor department, with a bit of yeast, maybe some orange. Easy drinking and enjoyable. Not the most flavorful beer of this style, though I definitely like it. Not too "wheaty" to be widely appealing. I’ll try it again sometime. joe1510 (501), Illinois, USA

I poured this into a pilsner glass. It’s a very pale straw yellow with very aggressive carbonation bubbles rising from everywhere. 3 finger head faded down to a 1+ finger bright white somewhat rocky head. Chunky frothy lacing is spread out on my glass while I drink. This stuff looks refreshing.
The aroma is loaded with that wonderful wit aroma. There is coriander, a couple squeezes of orange juice, and a big yeast spiciness that seems to me a little stronger than other wittes that I’ve had in the past. The yeast smells almost like a mild incense. All in a good way. Very appetizing. I’ve drank this in the past and I remember it being weak in both flavor and aroma. This isn’t anything like the others. I got this one brought back for me from the brewery.
The taste is nice and spicy. The wheat comes up front and sticks around while the spice and coriander take the main stage. In the background the fresh orange juice adds a refreshing citrus quality. The yeast they use in this stuff is the key. Again, this is fresher than the others I’ve drank in the past and it really shows.
Mouthfeel is very nice. Lighter bodied but with a healthy dose of carbonation. The carbonation tickles your toungue and cheeks while the witte spices give my mouth a lively sensation that makes this beer stand out.
This is a highly drinkable beer. It’s so refreshing and lively that there’s no problem drinking this. I could easily see myself drinking it all day.
Overall this is an excellent wit. I caution you though, if you plan on buying some try and get it as fresh as possible. The longer it sits the more it loses. If you think it’s been sitting around awhile take a pass on it and wait till next time.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 23, 2007 Rated 9/26/06: Very drinkable, but it lacks much to really stand out as a witbier. I would even dare say this leans more toward a German hefeweizen than a Belgian White. Thin aroma of wheat and banana with some citrus notes. Gorgeous pour, nice vibrant golden yellow with a light fluffy head and serious carbonation. Mouthfeel is watery. Flavor is average, tastes good but doesn’t impress. Overall a rather tasty refreshing brew but not good enough for the cost. nramsburg (202), New York, New York, USA
