Pours a slightly hazy yellow with a one finger white head that faded into a thin topper quickly. The nose is wheat, light bubblegum and spice. The taste follows suit for the most part with some light hops thrown in. Medium prickly dry mouthfeel. Good refreshing beer. GardenGabe (129), Denver, Colorado, USA

Head settles almost immediately leaving no lacing. Smells of lemon, Belgium yeast and spice. Taste is mildly sour with light bitterness and slightly sweet finish. Refreshing. Feel is watery but leaves a noticeable coating. Nice fine carbonation. TheGent (165), , Massachusetts, USA

This was a very good and well executed white beer. A pleasant slight citrus and yeast aroma and just the right carbonation so for refreshing drinking during a rather warm day. The pale yellow color was evocative of the style. A classic representation but what less could be expected from ommegang porterhouse (1163), Alna, Maine, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 20, 2009 (750 ml bottle) Pours light cloudy yellow with a tall whitish head in my weizen. Cloudier deeper into bottle. Aroma of yeast, light citrus, candy and wheat malt. Mouthfeel light, smooth and refreshing. Large, broken rings of lacing. Flavor of light citrus zing and wheat malt. Lightly sweet with a hint of spice. A bit yeasty. Well-balanced, pleasant summer refresher. poisoneddwarf (221), Rathdrum, Idaho, USA

Faint skunk flavor toward the beginning which disappears after a few drinks. Develops nice Belgian beer flavors as it warms and develops a nice aftertaste. It’s clear this beer is not Belgian in origin but it tastes pretty damn close. beernovice39 (307), South Carolina, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 12, 2009 Smell of lemons. Pours pale light amber like a lager with white head. Taste is thin. Flavor like Hoegaarden light with soft spices and citrus. Enjoyable but grab Hoegaarden instead. This would be a great beer after a grass cutting here in The South. richlikebeer (832), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
