| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 17/20 | Nov 26, 2006 Updated: Jul 11, 2008Label says "bright and soft as summer clouds over a Flander’s field!" One of the few beers I’ve seen with pouring directions on it. Nice informative label. I think I’m getting the unfiltered wheat, bottle conditioned, pour method down finally. Pours slightly cloudy in my steeler stein with a very pale light yellow hue. A layer of tan muck remains in the bottle. Virtually no bouqet but has the aroma of fresh spring water. Nice barely tart initial flavor. Palate is average carbonation. Finish is light, barely orangy (?) and pleasant with no lingering aftertase. Refreshing and enjoyable. alobar (1020), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA

Taste is smooth with lemon and spcies upfront and some bitter on the back end. Overall, a solid witte. GuilTTy (538), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 8, 2006 12oz Bottle. Hazy pale goldenrod pour under a very quickly dissipating rocky white head. Aroma of cloves, vanilla and citrus fruit with a touch of fresh cut grass. Well balanced flavors of citrus, herbs (clove and corriander) and hops. Very active carbonation - a little too active for my tastes - and a somewhat thinner mouthfeel than other versions of the style. Finishes mildly sweet, clean and surprisingly dry. Not a bad representation of the style but not a Hoegaarden (or Victory Whirlwind for that matter).
