Commercial Description:
Ommegang Witte, a traditional Belgian-style wheat ale with whispers of sweet orange and a touch of tart lemon. Soft and seductive, Ommegang Witte is this summer's version of spicy intrigue and refreshing flavor.

750mL, courtesy of NachlamSie, no date. Pours a very pale yellow golden with a three finger white head. Aroma of light oranges and lemons, some wheat, and light spicy hops. All fairly subtle. Flavor much the same with a light tinge of vanilla, some soft grainy wheat also presents itself. I don’t think I noticed any bitterness at all, but not necessarily a much sweetness, either. There was also a bit of butteryness. Highly carbonated, light body. For a wit, this is pretty damn good--I don’t care if everyone else does hate the style.

Blind rating, American Beer Tastings at Sk8viking´s. Pours a hazy yellow with a small foamy white head. Lightly sweet and wheaty. Slightly sour. Hints of bubble-gum. Mellow carbonation . Dry finish. Boring.

Bottle. Poured hazy yellow with a large frothy white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate yeasty sour citrus aroma. Light to medium body. Medium citrus sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. I would recommend this to a freind.

Golden cloudy colour with a nice white head. Nice aroma of citrus. Light flavour of yeast and little fresh citrus. Ends up watery and light body.

Above average white. Hazy white pour. Yeast and lemon on the nose. More fruit on the tongue. Slight bitterness adds the thirst quenching. Probably better in the summer than at the end of a night of sampling pumpkin ales:)

Nice, but unremarkable. Pale color, lightly fruity nose. Some clove, pear flavors, but again unremarkable. Light body.

Cold 750ml bottle: Pours a hazy golden yellow color with a nice frothy ivory head. Aroma and taste are of nice yeast, sweet grains, grass, citrus, and very mild hops bitterness. Well carbonated. Short sweet & musty ending.
