Commercial Description:
Ommegang Witte, a traditional Belgian-style wheat ale with whispers of sweet orange and a touch of tart lemon. Soft and seductive, Ommegang Witte is this summer's version of spicy intrigue and refreshing flavor.

Bottle, 355ml - Hazy light yellow colored beer with a fluffy white head. The aroma is very fruity with notes of citrus and yeast. Flavor is sweet with hints of yeast, citrus and tropical fruits. Light bodied and a very typical example of a wit.

Wheaty yeast aroma, pared with the aforementioned lemon. Transparent with a foamy white head. Flavor starts out kinda metallic, with some orange flavors rounding out the end. Palate was smooth, but not much action. Disappointing.

Cloudy gold, fluffy white head doesn’t last long, smells sharp, citric, Belgian yeast, aroma is pretty intense; big, spicy taste is not as tart as expected from the smell, but still refreshiing, pretty full body for a witte, nice tart finish, one of my favorite examples of this style. Almost bready wheat taste with lots of fresh citrus flavor

Pours a pale yellow with a frothy white head. Aroma was mostly belgian yeast with some wheat and citrus. Flavor is lemon citrus, spice, with some wheat and belgian yeast character. Palate is crisper and cleaner than I expect for the style, but still a nice summer beer.

Draft. Pours a hazy gold color with a big puffy white head. Yeast, straw, barnyard, and wheat aromas in the nose. High carbonation and a light mouthfeel. A little citrus, wheat, hay, and yeast on the palate. It finishes very cleanly. A somewhat understated beer, but very drinkable.

Bottle. Pours a hazy blond color with a large, frothy white head. Aromas of wheat, hay, lemon, and a touch of lime. Somewhat lively mouthfeel with a refreshingly crisp finish. Flavors of wheat, orange, and a hint of malts. My wife loves this beer although I think it is a bit toned down.

Bottled. A hazy light yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of fruit - especially peaches, and wit yeast, as well as light notes of soap. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of wheat - a somewhat boring Wit.
