An IPL wow, true fully I had a homebrew one a while back so it’s not my first but I still cant figure out the style, I’ll go by an IMP Pilsner in my mind because it is the closest thing I can think of.
Growler poured into my Pilsner glass produced a good finger worth of white head that went to a good covering of lace. The body of the brew was a somewhat hazy golden yellow in color.
Aromas’ of nice floral hops filled my head upon bring the glass to my lips. This is where I start to get confused with the style. It has a great hop profile, citric, flowery and grassy, but is meant to be a lager and I will tell you I can’t get any malts from it at all. I like the nose I get from it if it was an IMP Pils, it would get high marks
Flavors are hop forward as well light crisp hop bitter with a touch of malt sweetness in the end, but with the mouthfeel of Pils, light and carbonated. Like I said it’s a style bender.
A great drinking beer, I am having no problem going through this growler. I may regret it not knowing what the ABV is, but hey it’s my weekend. I don’t have to get up tomorrow. Thanks again Jason
