| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 18, 2005 Semi-hazy, glowing orange with a heavily speckled white head. Fairly modest aroma. Has the traditional ESB barnyard bite to the smell, along with some hay, lemon herb butter and sourdough crust. Flavors are right on for a bitter. Upfront lemony / acidic twang joined with crisp, clean qualities drawn from the malts. Good, straight forward stuff. MIBRomeo (1965), Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 6, 2005 a cloudy copper color w/ a thick creme of wheat looking head that stays and laces. Smells good, w/ an odd hop and a nice malt aroma. Good body, lightly creamy w/ nice carbonation. The flavor is a nice even bitter but not biting w/ a good light malt balance and an almost nutty finish. Overall a good beer. 1FastSTi (2560), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA

This beer is a definite must try if in the Milwaukee area. I got milk chocolate and banana esters. Bitter finish (not overly so). Caramel and orange hop aroma. The body was dark amber with a slight haze. It had head that looked like cream of wheat. Off-white. TRY THIS!

>>>>>>>>>>&g I resampled this last night. Was I on crack? It is not a 4.2 beer. In fact, either the quality has really decreased or this was simply too early in my rating career. I noticed most of the same characteristics. Add some breadyness, remove the chocolate and banana. DavidP (1743), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 15, 2004 Slightly hazy dark amber body. Medium-strength caramel malt aroma. Caramel malt flavor with sweet chocolate millk notes. Finishes with a spicy, leafy hop finish. A very enjoyable, characterful brew. My rating doesn’t describe it for shit, but this stuff was very nice. TheDean (785), MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
