Brown to light chestnut color with a modest off-white head. HInts of caramel and cocoa in the aroma along with a touch of dry grass/herbal hops. Lightly toasted malt mix with a touch of dark caramel in the flavors. Dry herb hops and bitterness seep in the middle and carry into the finish and linger. A brown with a touch more character than many, but a few rough edges.

On tap at Stonefly. Poured a clear coppery-amber with a creamy off-white head and nice lacing. The aroma picked up mostly caramel sweetness with some chocolate and toffee around.. simple and pleasant with a touch of herbal hoppage. The flavor found caramel and dry, sweeter chocolates at the core with mild herbal and dark fruity bitterness.. again simple and pleasant.. tacky caramel with an unidentifiable ugly bitterness on the finish.. OK overall. Lighter-bodied with OK balance.. creamy middle, but rough and sharp on the finish.

Murky brown color with no head. Another buttery aroma? Must be the house style. The taste is very vegetative, oddly strong on the carrot. Sweet finish.

Semi-hazy, rustic amber, with a thin, foamy head. Aroma is peat, cinnamon, curacao and shortbread. Some wafts are borderline Belgian. Big on flavor. Woomph - sweet and sugary like a double. Candied pecans and sugary caramel. Spicy-sweet lick on the follow through of each swallow. Very sweet with a male syrup-like resonance.

Foamy, frothy, offwhite head. Cloudy light brown body. Nutty aroma, grassy, citrus hop. Oily film with disapating head. Aroma is sweet malt. Flavor is tangy, nutty, roasted malt. Palate is sweet, medium bodied, slightly acedic. Well carbonated.

Murky brown body, minimal white head. Fruity, caramelly flavor. Starts with brown sugar, sweet wheat bread, and a touch of citrus hops. Not much in the finish, just some malty remanants and yeast fruitness. Slightly rough finish. 3/1/2006 - "Brewtown Brown". Cloudy brown body, thin but lacy white head. Caramel and peanut butter under apple and lemon rind bitterness. The apple portion is pretty strong which makes for a suprisngly tasty brew. It’s like an apple beer but not. Above average mouthfeel. Apples in teh nose. Finishes with lasting green apple and lemon over mild grahm cracker. Good sutff.
