Dark amber, lace clings to tha glas. Incredibly complex hop taste: A background bitternes like from bitter tea , accompagnied by a range of aromahops which fill the whole spectrum. Medium body, a tad watery exit, but all in all a really lovely beer. jbrus (4903), Delft, Netherlands

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 29, 2002 Updated: Jun 16, 2005Bottle - in a side-by-side tasting with the GB spéciale Amber-beer (wiich I heard of as being the same beer as Op-Ale) Clear, amber body. Moslty lasting lightly brown head. Fair lace. Nose of yeats (light - dough) and hops (moderately - flowers) Lightly bitter, lightly sweet initial flavour. Lightly bitter finish. Result of the side-by-side: the beers aren’t exactly the same. They are very similar, but the GB beer is a little bit more watery. Lubiere (4552), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
