This is a beer for the ages. Not to be missed. Straight out of a growler the freshness of the brew could not be any better. The taste, the smell, the appearnace are all superb. Quite a beer to enjoy if you are into IPAs.

From a growler purchased at Julio’s Liquors. Pours a lovely slightly hazy golden color with a 1/2" off white head and good lacing on glass. Just a beautiful beer to behold. Nose is hop dominate with grapefruit, citrus and pine like aroma with just an occasional whiff of the potent alcohol lurking within. Palate has a substantialness to it with just the right amount of carbonation. Flavor is a nice balance of the various hop flavors with some sweet caramel like flavors. Lasting bitter finish. I’m not typically an IPA guy, but this one wowed me. Very nice !

Thanks to hopdog for this. We all loved it so much at the tasting that we went back for seconds! Appears a hazy amber brown with a 1 finger off white head that lasts. Nice lacing is left around the glass. Smell is of huge biscuity, malty dough. Lots of hoppy complexity going on with with pine resin and citrus. Taste is of the same aromas in a well done, sugary DIPA. Mouthfeel has beautiful amounts of carbonation with perfect sweet and bitter notes balancing it out.

Thanks to hopdog for landing this growler for a tasting. Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a medium off white foamy head that laced nicely. Aroma of pine, citrus, some caramel, grapefruit and light alcohol as it warmed. Flavor of pine, some sugary sweetness was also picking up more of the alcohol in the flavor as it warmed. A very solid DIPA though and really glad I got to try it.

Sampled as part of a 19 beer blind barleywine tasting (from a growler): Pours a clear bright copper with a spotty, wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt and fresh piny hops. Starts fresh and caramely sweet with a good mild citrus hoppy balance and a touch of light fruitiness toward the bittersweet finish. A very nice barleywine.

Growler. Poured a clear dark copper color with an orange tint and thin off-white head. The malty aroma had plenty of sweetness and a decenbt piney hop backbone to give balance. The flavor was also pretty sweet and malty. My only real complaint was that the flavor seemed to cut short. Nice hops in the flavor. Light notes of alcohol as well but no way you can tell it is almost 14%. This got put into the 19 bottle BW tasting by mistake but it was so big you couldn’t tell it shouldn’t be there.

Growler acquired in trade with ppoitras (thanks Pete!). Poured a deep and lightly hazy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of pine, caramel, citrus, spicy, light alcohol, and had a very light doughiness to it. Tastes were brown sugary sweet, caramel, grapefruit and orange peel. Light alcohol in the finish (although no where near 14%). Light lacing left on the glass. Nicely balanced and a very enjoyable IIPA.
