Commercial Description:
This beer is brewed for those who appreciate the pure pleasure of the Hop. The malt comes through, but its not long before the hops take over! Aromatic, bitter and a bit strong, this beer graduated from the more is better school.

A clear, medium golden-orange body is crowned by a dense, rocky, cream colored head. The foam is well retained, and leaves sticky clumps of cobweb lacing behind. Aromatics include grapefruit and lemongrass hops over a toasty, dry, grainy malt base. The flavor is quite bitter, with those grapefruit hops really slicing through the lightly sweet, toasty, biscuity malts. Medium-plus bodied and moderately carbonated, the finish is strikingly sharp and slightly astringent. Quite nice overall, so long as you’re not expecting much balance.

Golden, bright. Earthier, English aroma with some caramel. Crisp, but with a sweetish finish. Herbaceous hops and biscuits, slightly toasty malts. Nicely balanced with a pleasing dry finish.

Quickly dissipating white head and a goldish amber body. Grassy hop nose with a citrus touch. Not extreme hops, but moderate. Some bitterness obviously stems from that. Mellow mouth feel Bite after you drink it. Slight, ever so slight, sweetness.

Bottle purchased at Gordon’s in New London. Pours clear golden orange, white head. Aroma is very hoppy (tangerine, grapefruit, and kiwi), and I love it! Flavor is crisp and bitter citrus hoppy, some notes of pear and vanilla, but not super sweet and cloying. This is a good IPA. What a happy find in New London, CT!

Bottle, thanks to jjpm74. Pours orange with small off-white head. The aroma is rather citrusy, with lots of sweet orange, and a little bit of graininess. The flavor is bready sweetness with some bitter, though not too strong, citrus hops. Fresh grass comes out toward the finish. Not mindblowing, but a pretty solid IPA.

Solid brew from a growler. Pours a nice amber with fast fading head. Aroma is good grassy and citrus hops. Flavor had a great citrus bite, grapefruit, and finished very grassy dry, nice combo.

bottle thanks to jjpm74. great amber pour with a very small white head. nose of dry hops and a slight citrusy scent as well. thicker than i was expecting but the hop flavor is very smooth in the finish. the hops are quite bitter up front but by the finish this is a very nice ipa.

5-16-08 bottle shared with lb4lb thanks to jwale73
Mostly clear orange amber with a thin white head that doesnt really last. Smell is doughy but a hint of hops shows up as it warms. Bitter (almost soapy) flavor with some orange rind hints in there too. Nice light bitterness but isn’t very well balanced. Body is thin and a hint watery with a medium to high carbonation. Not awful but just seems a little off.
