Commercial Description:
This beer is brewed for those who appreciate the pure pleasure of the Hop. The malt comes through, but its not long before the hops take over! Aromatic, bitter and a bit strong, this beer graduated from the more is better school.

Bottle, labeled "hop express". Poured a clear amber with a small fizzy white head. Pleasant aroma of lemon and grapefruit, a bit of grass. Flavor is surprisingly smooth, even if mildly underpowered. Notes of grapefruit rind, fresh cut grass, some light lemon, the slightest bit of toffee... no metallic or ashen flavor to the bitterness, which is surprising, as I usually find it in these obscure IPA’s. Very easy-drinking, and could be a nice introduction to IPA’s for those who are a bit squeamish about overwhelming bitterness.

bottle courtesy of jwale73. Thanks!
Pours an attractive semi hazy amber orange with a short lived whitish head. Smell is mild and pleasant fruity and grassy hops and some sweetness as well. Taste is fruity and sweet with malty grapefruit juice like flavor and a nice hop flavor and bitterness following to finish. Has a nice solid bitterness and a bit of a dry grapefruit flavor. Average to slightly full body and moderate carbonation and pretty easy to drink. Nice IPA.

bottle from jjpm74. Pours a copper amber with an off white head. Aroma of floral hops and caramel malt. Flavor of caramel and toasted malts countered by a spicy and citrusy bitterness. Strong tea flavors on the finish. This leans somewhat toward an APA, with the exception of the alcohol.

Bottle from hopdog. Pours a shade of amber with a thin head. Aroma of light citrus, melon, and light caramel malts. Solid medium pine and citrus bitterness. Little bit of malt shows up. Floral hops round out the finish and a sweet melon/caramel malt flavors shows up and takes off. Pretty decent.

Bottle, no mention of the buckwheat but the description matches up. Poured a nice amber hue with a thin white head which had no retention. Pine like aroma with some mild malt notes. Flavor was nicely hoped but never over powering. Somewhat light on the palate. A nice crisp drink that.

One of the best IPA’s I have had.Smooth, hop filled and excellent all around. This is definaltey an IPA to try. But there is a world of difference between bottle and from a growler. Please do an IPA justice and go from a growler, its impeccable.
