Opa-Opa Steakhouse Dry Stout

A deep dark stout with a thin moka head. A pleasant lactaceous chocolate, with moka notes. In mouth, a good roasted malt, very restrained, with peaty notes. Medium bodied. On tap at brewpub, Inbièrenationale IV, May 2007.

I liked this summer time stout. It has all of the nuances of a deep stout. Notes of coffee, chocolate, and toasted malts. The palate keeps the flavors but offer a lighter bersion of the overall mouthfeel. I like that idea when it is 90 degrees outside.

Bitter dry, some chocolate malt. Watery, a bit of aroma no head, coffee highlights.

on tap-pours a light brown head and black color. Aroma is dark malt-sweet. Taste is dark malt-coffee, acidic. OK carbonation.
