Commercial Description:
Clean malt flavors are the heart of this copper colored American styled ale, and the snappy hop finish is its soul. Try some Honesty for a change!

Cask@GBBF2009. Ambery colour, not much head. Aroma is hops, wood, fruits, flowery hops as well as some fudge, earth and mild parfume. Flavour is much of the same in a pleasant balance. Very drinkable APA.

Cask@GBBF. Clear amber color, not much head. Caramelly, some resiny hops in the nose. Pale malty, piney hoppy flavor. Quite balanced malt and hop profile. Enjoyable APA.

At GBBF 2009. Lovely grapefruit aroma. OK in mouth, if a little watery. Decent hop on finish. Solid pale ale.

A Mes rate. Gravicask at GBBF.
Yellow amber colour with no head. Really good fresh piney hops with a decent earthy malt base. Hints of peach and grapefruit. Big fruity finish with some slight peat. Nice enough beer but nothing outstaning.

on tap-pours a white head and gold color. Aroma is flat (English) hops, secondary medium malt. Taste is flat (English) hops, secondary medium malt-slight bitter. A cross over PA. OK/mild carbonation.

Cask at GBBF09. Alround rating: Citrusy, green hop, grassy, caramel, small hint of grainy chocolate malt. But clean and tasty.

My Bottom Line:
Clean cereals propose humble sweetness for the wooden hop flavor and bitterness to balance out. Storyless but well made, this Pale Ale might lack hop flavor and aroma to please some lovers of the style.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam decorates the clear orangey blond.
-Passive apricots convey fruitiness to the sweet grain.
-The supporting hop bitterness lingers nicely.
-The nose is not expressive enough to make me feel like diving in.

On tap at the brewpub.
