From a growler purchased from their Williamsburg, MA location. A sweet aroma tops the dark brown, reddish on the fringes color. Light mouthfeel with low carbonation. Sweet fruity malty flavor with a lingering brown maltiness with a touch of hops that sit on the tongue for a while. Pretty good.

Growlered sample purchased at Table and Vine in Northampton. Pours a deep reddish brown with a generous, powdery, retained head. Smells of biscuits, nutty malt, light peppery hops and some doughy yeast. Tastes peppery with some nice spicy elements. As the beer warms, some subtle cocoa and more of those nice peppery hops pop up. A well represented sample of a misunderstood style. Their session ales seem to be a step ahead of most other brewpubs.

I got this growler of beer in a little Mom & Pops place that has a few micro brew in stock. It pours nice with a big smell, after i poured it, my wife knew there was a pint being poured from accross the room. It certainly lives up to its sweetness hitting you right off the get go, has a slight bitterness, and it smooth in the mouth. I will be buying this beer again.

on tap-pours a light brown head and mahogany color. Aroma is dark malt-toffee, slight sharpness. Taste is dark malt-toffee/chocolate, nutty, dark fruit, faint hops. OK effervescence.

Enjoyed this beer from the growler while in MA. A nice caramel malt aroma, with some roastyness, and some nutty and grainy hops scents too. A rich, brown color with a tint of red and a decent-sized, somewhat creamy, off-white head, with good retention. A nice mixed flavor of sweetness and bitterness, with some malty and nutty flavors. Average dryness on the palate, with good carbonation and a moderate mouthfeel.

Poured from Growler. Pours dark brown, thin, with a small head. Aroma is bubble gum, cherry syrup, sugar, and raspberry. Very, very fruity sweet. Flavor mirrors aroma, with some malty sweetness that reminds you it is a brown. Kind of a hybrid beer that blends berries, a fruit beer, Belgian yeast, and an American brown. The result is pleasing, though not overall outstanding.

The beer pours medium brown with notes of malt on the nose. This then give us a decent feeling of malt in the palate and a nice long finish.

On tap at the brewpub, one of their better ones in that it was good for its style. All-malt, and that’s in the aroma. Lots of lace with a white/mocha head, and creamy.
