Commercial Description:
A blend of German vienna malt and English crystal malts create this malty and slightly fruity beer. Sweet caramel flavors give way to a surprisingly soft and smooth finish.

12 oz Bottle. Not that great. Tasted a little watery. Poured a dark amber color with a little head. This is a mild beer.

decent, yet somewhat watery. Amber pour with a thin head, don’t realy see the fruit as noted in the commercial description. syrupy hops slightly present.

It pours a dark amber color with just a little head. I had no lacing down the glass and the head was gone in a couple seconds. I thought the smell was the best part. A lot of sweetness in the smell with some malt in the background. There’s a lot of caramel coming through in the smell. I really like it. The taste is sweet with a little malt. There’s a lot of carbonation and not a lot of bitterness. This is mild for a lot of amber ales out there. Not really a strong flavor.

Enjoyed this beer from the growler while in MA. The beer had a nice copper-amber color that was mostly clear, and a smaller white head with modest retention. Nice caramel malt-dominated aroma with some grainy/earthy hops and some light fruit scents too. Good, sweet and malty flavor, with mild sour qualities. A wetter beer with a rich, full mouthfeel and average carbonation.

Pours a dark reddish-amber with very little head. Nose is slightly fruity and vinous, strangely like a watered down old ale, with a note of woody hops. Biscuit malt and dry berries start off the somewhat thin palate, before moving to an herbal, mild hop finish. Not too bad.

Cask, third pint at GBBF. Ring of fragile foam over a dark brown body. Vague smell of berries. Plain malt-fruity character. Rather anonymous. Soft, medium bodied (06.08.2008)

A Mes rate: gravicask at GBBF.
Standard amber looks with no head. Sweet caramel malt dominates with some faint spice and nice citric hoppage. Delicate but reasonably lengthy finish. So so.

Cask, GBBF 08... copper colour ... malt and some rye in nose ... woody and a little bitter chocolate.
