Cask at GBBF08. Good dark malt aroma, sweet and bready. The flavour has the same maltiness, also dusty. Clear very dark brown colour. Very small tan head. Hint of vinousness in the aftertaste along with a decent hop bite.

Cask at GBBF 08. Deep ruby, thin beige head. Very very choccy, quite an intense porter. Just very very good and deserves better of my beer judgement than I am today. It’s excellent. Good fullness, reall intense choc, but very drinkable at the same time. Good stinging bitterness from the choc on end.

Cask. Low fluffy loight brown lasting head. Very dark red brown body. Almost black. Lovely coffee aroma. Smooth creamy coffee cocoa liquorice flavor with little, if any, hops bitterness. Low carbonation and a long coffee cream aftertaste.

Cask at GBBF 08. Dark brown and oily. Vegetable and coffee aroma but soft malt milk chocolate and marshmallow flavours on the tongue. Strength was given as 6.0% in the BSF programme.

From a growler purchased at Julio’s Liquors. Pours a deep, rich brown with ruby edges. Small tan head. Nice smooth palate, albeit a bit on the thin dry side. Chocolate, malty flavor with some coffee. Nice enjoyable, drinkable porter made more enjoyable by the fact that it was ridiculously cheap. $6.99 a growler at Julio’s. Can’t beat that with a stick.
