Commercial Description:
A light bodied ale, with low bitterness and a smooth watermelon flavor! A great summer beer!

I was surprised with this beer. I thought that it would be way to fruity but it wasn’t. Was actually pretty good.

On tap at Opa-Opa’s. Amber color with head that disapated as soon as it arrived at my table. Slight scent of watermelon. Just enough. Good ale.

Draught pint at Sunset Grill on 8/13/07
Feeble white head quickly passes to a ring, leaving the mostly clear, light golden liquid, looking a little flat.
Soft, not-overdone fruitiness in the nose is not strikingly watermelon-esque in nature. In fact, I wouldnt have even definitively picked watermelon, as it smells sort of peach-apricoty as well (reminded me much of Sea Dog Apricot Wheat, unfortunately). But it’s soft, lightly sweet, rather "airy" if that makes any sense and generally light-hearted without too much substance and fortunately no flaws. Medium strength of aroma, some starchy wheat makes its way in there.
Somewhat tart, in a very minimal sense, up front, with light, vanilla and cream sweetness. Not overly fruity and not too sweet, with moderate, fizzy carbonation. Not all that much beer quality, either, but at least it’s drinkable and very inoffensive.

Tap. Slightly yeasty aroma. Amber pour. Bitter, rough palate. Slight caramel. No watermelons notes whatsoever. Total crap.

A light hoppy lager. Light taste. Golden head. Faint watremelon there, or was it the watermelon chunk.
