Huge, fine & dense yellowish head, leaving textbook rings over orange-copper beer. Caramel, even toffee, and subsequently hops wafting through. Serious bitter onset, EU-hops, then reverting to caramelly malts, slightly spice. Quite metallic-bitter palate, quite dry. Medium bodied but very slick and oily, certainly for its relatively low strength. Not bad, but tad harsh, displaying uneasy balance. Many thanks to Jens Duvel!

Bottle from Systembolaget. Very clear orangy colour with a big yellowish head. Malty aroma and some yeast. Malty character and a little spicy hoppy finish.

330 ml bottle. Crystal clear amber colour. Medium-sized white head that clings to the glass. Delicious floral hop aroma with notes of citrus and fresh grass. The cascade hop is quite dominating. Crisp mouthfeel with a sharp hop bitterness that cuts through the otherwise chewy maltiness. Lots of hop flavour here, which is refreshing without going over board. This in an excellent pale ale with lots of hops, but not hops that ooze of citrus and grapefruit, instead clean floral and grassy hops with a nice bite.

(Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse 68, Stockholm, 10 March 2009) Amber colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with orange peel, pine needles, caramel and grainy malt aromas. Fruity, malty taste with notes of orange peel, grapefruit and a crisp, grainy malt profile. Well balanced with a distinct hop character. Nice and very drinkable.

Golden color; huge head, frothy. The malt profile of this beer is very subdued, the mouthfeel being quite dry and the body not strong; but in the end there is a nice toffee flavor. All the rest is hop; the aroma starts with hop flowers, gently fruity, then light resins and acidic puke, deserving a 7.5; strong bitterness, with dry resins, and very long final. Good, interesting, unbalanced but definitively refreshing.

Golden colour, small white head, lacing. Aroma is hoppy, straw, grass, fruit, lemon, grapefruit, apricot. Flavour is hoppy and it is very typical for Oppigårds hoppy and not very sweet. Mouthfeel is actually a bit watery and that is a first for a beer from Oppigårds for me, maybe low ABV is the culprit. This is good, but since i always have very high expectations when I open an Oppigårds this was a bit of a disappointment. Serving type: bottle

Bottle, 33cl- Copper golden colored beer with a small head. Aroma is fruity malty with hints of citrus and hops. Flavor is caramel like and feels very typical oppigårds. Very fresh beer and very spring seasonal!

Bottled. Wow, great beer! Dark amber colour with medium-sized head. Full malty aroma with lots of caramelly backbone with accompanying flowery, grapey hops. Body is big, given the abv. There are of course pretty much residual sugars, but it is not sweet. Just full malty and superbly caramelly with excellent balance from the hops. Very good beer!
