downender (2537), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Jun 8, 2009 On tap at the Freemasons Arms, London 07/06/09. Golden with a slight white head. Savoury malt lager with a touch of bitterness in the finish. Forgettable. thewolf (5635), Kolding, Denmark Mar 12, 2009 Tap @ Beer Exposed, September 2008.
Pours clear golden with a small, frothy, film head. Aroma is sweet malty, some wet dog. Overall, not much aroma. Super-high carbonation, very watery - carbonated water, anyone? Flavour has some weak malts and a touch (only a slight one) of flowery hops at the end. cgarvieuk (4159), Edinburgh, Scotland Jan 1, 2009 Oh this is Shepherd Neame ... that why i knew the name... but yeuch...fizzy orange ... ligth lager hop ... over fizzy ... almost nothing in flavour abosultly no depth yeuch. Keg in Dundee
iammarc (193), Inverness, Scotland Jul 28, 2008 Not a bad lager, available in can from most supermarkets. A student favourite for me, whilst I was in Glasgow. Cheap in value, tastes reasonably good from a can. mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 11, 2007 [634-20070919] Tap @ Ye Olde Pump House (Hastings, ES). Grainy aroma has hints of skunk and rotting haylofts. Clear, very pale yellow body with a small medium-lasting creamy white head. Flavour continues skunky yeast and rotting straw. Light-medium body. This ’quirkily continental’ brew is rather unpleasant. HogTownHarry (3922), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Sep 19, 2007 Draught. At The Bloomsbury Tavern, Shaftesbury Road, London. Oh WHY do I order stuff lke this? Very pale gold, clear, with a small fast-diminishing fizzy white head. Dry, funky (not in any good way) stale aroma, sort of sweet. Dry, stale wheat aroma, less funk than the nose, just some harsh dead bitterness. Somewhat harsh on the palate, sharply carbonated, stale harsh aftertaste. Not very good; cheap, in fact. berkshirejohn (1767), Bracknell, Berkshire, England Jul 18, 2007 Keg at the Kings Head, Hythe, Kent. Pale straw colour with a thin white head, and heavy carbonation; malty aroma; slightly sour and bitter taste (reminds me of Grolsch); with an unusually salty finish. detroitsteel (231), Greater London, England Jan 13, 2007 Heavily carbonated, light bodied better than average tap Lager. Slightly more hops that normal but a UK larger of no great style.
