Svesse (1821), Hässelby, Sweden Aug 17, 2008 (Canned) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, clean taste with hints of grain, malt sugar, grass and hay. Clean, malty taste with grain and hay, faint traces of grassy hops in the finish. Thin body, fairly dry. Fairly boring beer, but the the fact that it’s not overly sweet and quite clean, makes it not too bad. ekstedt (1958), Göteborg, Sweden Aug 2, 2008 Can (50 cl) from my local grocery store. Clear pakle golden with medium white head. Weak artificial malt aroma, with some faint grassy hops. Thin body, well balanced with some bitterness. faroeviking (4418), Faroese Autonomous Beer Republic, Denmark Aug 29, 2007 Can. Pours a golden colour. Weak grainy aroma with some hops. The flavour is waterish with some hops and grains. Boring but still refreshing on a warm summer day. mikey (321), farmington, Utah, USA Aug 29, 2007 Poured golden, with a frothy head that vanishes very quickly. The nose was faint with corn, hops and just a touch of skunk. The taste, was simple and basic with a well-balanced combination of moderately grainy malt, adjuncts, light grassy hops and restrained bitterness. It finishes dry and refreshin with a sharp, brisk bitterness and a small hint of orange peel. This is a below average beer, but worth a try. rlgk (3028), Motala, Sweden Aug 10, 2007 Canned. Pale yellow/golden, quite quickly disappearing head. This really brought all the things I expect from a folköl. Too bad it did...
