Pours deep red-brown, almost blackish. A smallish frothy off-white head. Aroma is lightly roasted, good spices, pepper, ginger and fruity raisins. Fine, light mouthfeel. Flavour is very spicy, fine sweetness. Quite dry finish. Spices are peppery, coriander, ginger, anise, fennel. Nice hoppy finish. Nice and balanced! The aroma and taste is of licorice, citrus, herbs, raisins, roasted malt and alcohol. Aroma is coffee, some fruits, spices and caramel malts. Flavour is very much roasted malts, some herbs, mild fruityness as well as black coffee. Nice spicy finish.
