Bottle at ØLbaren - thanks to Nikolaj. Almost black - offwhite head. Licorice, roasted, burned, light yeasty, spicy, fruity, light hoppy. Clearly belgian style.

Jul 6, 2008 Bottled (thanks Papsoe!). Deep ambery red colour with mediumsized longlasting beige head. Aroma is coffee, some fruits, spices and caramel malts. Flavour is very much roasted malts, some herbs, mild fruityness as well as black coffee. Nice spicy finish. A rather pleasant brew.

Jun 22, 2008 Bottle. High creamy and long lasting off-white head. Hazydark body. Coffee cocoa roasted barley malt aroma. Heavily carbonated slightly acidic coffee hops flavor with a somewhat sharp edge. Long bitter aftertaste.

Jun 16, 2008 Dark brown with medium beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, spices and caramel notes. Sweet flavor with roasted malt, anise and spicy notes.

Jun 14, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of BelJohansen. Pours a clear reddish colour with a frothy beige head, Malty aroma - perhaps with a dash of spices - ginger? Solid body with burned caramel accents, roasted malts, fruit and spices. The finish is dry but not very bitter. A pleasant one. 290508
Maria (3788), Thisted, Denmark
Jun 11, 2008 Red-brown with notes of caramel, malt, fennel and light notes of herbs and/or vegetables. The flavour has sweetness and notes of roasted malt, caramel, candy sugar, fennel and some spice. IMO the herb/vegetable notes disturb the overall impression in this otherwise nice beer.
