Quite tasty. Has a nice, grapefruit-like, citrus flavor, which contributes to a stark bitterness. The ’sweet’ aromatics tend to fade quickly. Overall, a favorable brew (and extremely affordable), but I wish it had a more balanced malt body. But that’s just being picky.

Nice IPA. And it’s a good bit less expensive than most microbrews.

Well, if you are a fan of hops, this is your beer. No questions asked. If you don’t know what hops are, drink this beer for an education. WOW...this was hoppy. In a good way, but I love the smell of fresh hops. This beer smelled like I was holding my nose above a bag of fresh hops. A really great beer if you like hops. If you hate hops, please do not drink this beer. Please!

The first time I tried this IPA it immediately reminded me of the original Ballantine IPA brewed in Newark, NJ many years ago. A deep golden color; frothy white head with tons of floral and spicy hops in the nose; pleasant hop bitterness hits the palate initially with plenty of carmel malt to stand up to the hops. A very crisp, fruity ale finish to it all. Great value for a real solid IPA.
