Bottled. Amber colour. Grapefruity hop aroma. Clean and dry with unrefined sharp malt character. Salty bitter grapefruity finish.

Solid IPA -- better than I expected given the Sam Adams tie in. Good grapefruit hoppiness in aroma and taste, and solid IPA-bitter aftertaste. Malts are sufficient to prevent imbalance.

I used to drink a ton of this stuff in the late 90s. I still have my Oregon fine ales keychain. This one was smooth, hoppy, and malty at the finish. Not as hoppy or complex as some, but still a fine beer.

Rather cloudy. Rather solid IPA bitterness. Not bad stuff. Contract brewed?

Quite tasty. Has a nice, grapefruit-like, citrus flavor, which contributes to a stark bitterness. The ’sweet’ aromatics tend to fade quickly. Overall, a favorable brew (and extremely affordable), but I wish it had a more balanced malt body. But that’s just being picky.

This is by far my favorite IPA.
