Commercial Description:
Oregon Trail Bourbon Porter is a beer as big as the West. Masterfully brewed in the true pioneer spirit. This robust porter is aged in Kentucky oak bourbon barrels. The result is a deep mahogany elixir, rich with oaky smoothness, bold bourbonesque aroma, with hints of fruit and vanilla. Good at either end of the trail.

Liquid Sunshine VII Tasting – Kirkland, WA
Aroma: Big Bourbon aroma with a good malt backing.
Appearance: Black in color, clear with a thin head.
Flavor: Big Bourbon flavor this was sweet and full of life. Big malt flavors that stood up to the barrel aging.
Palate: Dry Barrel Finish, with a Good Mouthfeel.
Overall: Big beer this was awesome. Loved the bourbon it held up well for the past 3-4 years.

22oz bottle dipped in red wax. Poured a dark brown color with a large sized tan head. Aromas of oaky woodiness, vanilla, bourbon (not over powering), roast, and a little smokey. Tastes of vanilla, bourbon, oak, cocoa, and caramel. Bourbon is stronger in the aroma but again, not over powering. On the sweeter side. I liked the way the barrel aging was done on this one.

Ah my wife. My lovey wife. Never did I mention this beer to her, never did I say "I have my eye on it." Never did I utter a sound. And yet, she knew I wanted it. One of her Father’s Day beers. She reads my beer mind. Vanilla. Oak. Bourbon. All the flavors float there for awhile in your nose before you drink. And when you drink, lovely. Like my wife.

Courtesy Beerlando. Very deep burnished mahogany color. Aroma is bourbon, vanilla, cocoa, coffee, sweet pie spices, some dark fruits The bourbon is not over the top. The flavor is much more subtle than I expected, with the bourbon, while still present, yielding gracefuly to the roasted notes and allowing the balance to be achieved. I love Thursdays at Redlight.

Thanks to Brewfiend for sharing. Pours a nice deep dark black with a nice tan head. Super sweet bourbon and chocolate on the nose with some raisen and ripe fruit. Dense chocolate and ripe fruits as with a light floral hoppiness. Nice but I am pretty sick of bourbon beers.

10.2 ABV, No 4.. Deep brown pour with thin tan head.Acoholic aroma with roasted malt and dark fruit. Tastes of roasted malt, bourbon and chocolate with vanilla and a little licorice. Nice hops in the finish. Delicious, with good carbonation and weighty mouthfeel. Slow drinker.
