slightly cloudy yellow, whispy head and good lace, fresh crish hop aroma with slight sweetness, mild crisp hop flavor balanced well with dry malt character, just a slight bitter finish

duff (5407), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Jun 4, 2004 Tap@Oregon Trail. Heavy on the coriander. Lemony, quite tasty, but theres not much curacao or clovey flavours comeing through, which i like in my wits. BückDich (4559), Boise, Idaho, USA Mar 9, 2005 Sampled draught at Old World Deli/Oregon Trail Brewing, Corvallis Yellow hazy appearance with light head, some lacing. Nose of citrusy clove, detergent & fruity hops. The flavor is nutty & rich with malts. Doughy finish, crisp, clean, good. acrdz (4406), Boulder, Colorado, USA Dec 30, 2005 Draft at the brewery. Very acidic and sharp - and we found out why from one of the assistant brewers. They use certain type of malt (the exact name slips my mind) that alone has a very sharp, bitter citrus-like flavor... strange for sure, but it gives this witbier a flavor like it’s been mixed with concentrated lemon juice... which is actually REALLY tasty, since it sort of mimics a lambic sourness. This wit had it all: a bust of active, peppy lemon and wheat zest followed by a sweet fruit and creamy body. Unique if nothing else. motelpogo (4124), Plzen, Czech Republic Sep 7, 2004 on tap in corvallis. quite an earthy, coriander aroma. a bit of a dull texture, light lemon tang in the finish. not bad
