| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 30, 2008 Pours a very dark mahogany, clear but too dark to see through, lovely red garnet hue with a big creamy thick beige froth, thick gorgeous lacing. Sweet sugary aroma, very buttery with some roast... smells like a sugar cookie. Flavor is sweet and tangy, then turns smokey and super woody. Lots of beachwood. This beer almost tastes like a smoked. Smoked brown sugar and ham, rich but not overpowering, lightly fruity. Medium/full body that is very creamy but with very fine tingly carbonation, sparse but intense. Super drinkable for a heavy beer. Quite juicy actually. A very complete brew!!! Scauca (413), Lovere, Italy

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 27, 2008 This ale poured a deep black colour with a very quick living rocky, tan coloured head. To the nose there are scents of coffee, caramel, burnt malts and cocoa. First taste was smooth but a little watery with roasted flavours most prodominant.. Slightly nutty with cooffee notes the finish was just as roasty as the beginning. Palate is burnt with molassass and caramel flavours lingering. Dedollewaitor (3738), Odense, Denmark

Nose is amazing - dark fruits, figs , prunes & lots of chocolate, very complex & inviting. Mouthfeel is medium & slightly creamy. Oily & vinous. Taste has vague hints of smoke together with figs, prunes, wood, vanilla, chocolate, caramel & roast. This is lovely! CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2008 Crushed with Jakebra. Imagine standing infront of a grill and eating a hunk of smoked ham. That’s this beer in a nutshell. A little watery, reminds me of NG Smoke on the Porter. weaselkenievil (738), Cheshire, England

Quite mild tasting, thin bodied, needs a little more substance. Slight dark chocolate with a little smoke in the finish. Far from offensive but just didn’t really kick me in the tastebuds. Or get me hoover the lawn drunk. presario (2982), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
