pantani (1894), Salinas, California, USA Jul 8, 2004 Coffee and malt aroma. Quite similar to Tsunami Stout, but not as refined. Chocolate, Coffee, cream, malt. Overall its pretty good, nice lasting tan head, black body. It is thin, but it’s still pretty decent. Alcoholist (570), Peoria, Illinois, USA Jul 5, 2004 Black with a tan head. Aroma is coffee and bitter chocolate. Flavour is toffee and roasted coffee with a bitter finish. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA Jul 2, 2004 Jet black body with ample tan head. Coffee and chocolate in the nose. Some smoke detected. Mouthfeel was a wee thin for a stout. Flavor was chocolare and coffee and a touch of smoke. Decent. SubstanceT (1090), Saint Louis, Missouri, USA Jul 2, 2004 Black with a big tan long lasting head. THe biggest thing that I notice about this is that it has this strange thin body and the taste seems to be just a bit dilute. THere is a sweeping malt flavour but it comes and goes. Tastes like a stout some of the time. Shag (1922), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA Jun 19, 2004 Wow this is the best example of a dry stout Ive sampled thus far. This blows Guinness and Murphy’s out of the water! A good roasted malt and coffee aroma. Dark black apperance with a large beige head. The flavor is dry roasted malts, coffee, chocoate, and espresso. This has alot more body than your typical nitro stuff. Anyone that still thinks Guinness is the king of the dry stout style, you need to try this! Kinz (2179), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA Jun 16, 2004 Medium black, fading brown head. Aroma was of yummy milk chocolate. Bit of a thinner body than expecting based on aroma, chocolate, a hint of something tangy, and that was about it. So-so. madsberg (4873), Søborg, Denmark Jun 14, 2004 Bottled: Redbrown coloured. Dense brownish head. Lasting. Roasty and chocolatish aroma. Full and malty. Flavour is weak. This beer is all about aroma. Light roastyness, smoke and a distinct watery charachter. Light fruity and light bitter end. Not a top notch dry stout. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Jun 12, 2004 NERAX ’04, Black in color with no head. Chocolate and roasted malt aroma and flavor, bitter start and finish.
