Pours opaque black in color with large, creamy, dark tan head. Head dissipates rather quickly leaving nice lacing all along the glass. Rich chocolate malt aroma with dark roasted coffee notes. Tastes of chocolate with dark roasted coffee. I loved this. Could easily drink more.

Black pour with a thick long lasting chocolate mousse head and nice lacing. Nose of dark chocolate. As to the flavor, I’m going to use a comparison that those familiar with New Orleans culture will understand: "Coffee with Chicory". Translated: Deep roasted, practically burned coffee taste with a distinctive nuttiness. Notes of smoke and chocolate as well. Bitter finish of coffee and smoke. Excellent balance, overall.

Pour is a dark black with a small tan head. Aroma is very smoky and roasted malt. Flavor is smoked meat with some coffee and molasses. For only being 4% this is quite a flavorful beer.

This is the best drinkable stout I have ever had. You could chug it if you wanted to. Great color and malt flavor. Fullbodied with a very welcoming design. This is the beer Beowulf would drink!

(Bottle). Aroma is sweet chocolate and malt. Color is dark reddish black, with a brown head. Flavor much more coffee than chocolate. Body is on the thin side, and the finish lacks intensity. Competent, but not impressive.

Black with a viscous light brown head, nice lacing. Nice aroma is earthy with smoky blackened malts. Smooth medium body. Good flavor is earthy seaweed with dry blackened malts, and a hint of smoke. Better than what i expected.
