Black color; brown, creamy, generous head. Very nice aroma: coffee, roasted malt, bread. Quite good body, a bit too dry. Thank Jens (Ungstrup).

Black with medium beige head. Sweet with roasted malt caramel, coffee and chocolate. Good complexity for a beer with that amount of alcohol.

Rocky tan head atop a black body. Aroma is rich chococoffee. Taste is more coffee than chocolate, some burnt roastiness. Finish is strong coffee. Fairly rich for such a low alcohol beer. That being said, the coffee bitterness is too strong for me to enjoy.

Black with a huge, but quickly disappearing head. The aroma has notes of smoke and as long as it still is pretty cold, it reminds me of "Jerky", that is dried, smoked meat for dogs. When it gets warmer it’s licorice. The flavour is nice! it has smoke, malt, bitterness, chocolate, fruit and licorice. The finish has a nice bitterness. As it gets warmer it’s smoother and more chocolate-like. A lot of taste in spite of the low ABW - a like that!!

Bottle. Deep dark red-brown colour with a nice big creamish off-white head. Very good long lasting sticky lacing. Aroma of roasted malts and coffee, some chocolate. Nice creamy mouthfeel. Fresh smooth flavour of roasted malts, chocolate, roasty coffee, slight liquorice. Bitter roastish finish. A tasty brew indeed!

Bottle. Very dark colored, almost opague with a creamy head. Toasted malt aroma with chocolate and sweet melons. Sweetish with roasted malt and licorice. Salty finish. Lovely, tasty stout. Re-rate Cask, Crown Inn, Coldingham. Creamy at first, than a roasty bitterness comes up that lingers on and on. Apple and a fair deal of fishy saltiness.

Black colour with a baige head. Roasted chocolat aroma and a dry roasted thin coffee taste. Light body and a thin finish.

A Mes rate: 50cl bottle from Whole Foods. Awesome black appearance with a decent tan head. Sweet aroma with some sickly chocolate notes. Straight forward chocolate flavour with a faint sourness in the finish and some late coffee to add some interest. Otherwise it’s pretty dull.
