(Bottle BB nov. 05, thanks to Porter-Otto and Åsa) Pours dark brown with red hints and a light brown head. The aroma is of chocolate/cocoa roast, light burned coffee, nuts, mild fruits, tiny caramel and vanilla. The flavour is cocoa/coffee roasted. Rather dry, dusty and ashy. Light to medium acidic. Watery and soft with a light carbonation. Light bodied.

bottle. Pours a nice dark brown with a full, thick tan head. Yeasty, bittersweet aroma. Thin mouth, yeasty sweet. Rather narrow of a brew. Reminds me of a cola. This is fairly drinkable but lacks real substance.

(on bottle)This is a really nice PORTER I´ll say. Lots of burned wood, smoke and heavy, dry fruits in the aroma, an good dry sip a and dry aftertaste. Like a real PORTER! Should it be judged as a stout, I´ll say that is misses the smoothiness totally.

Pours pitch black with a mostly receding brown head. Aroma of chocolate, licorice, smokey roast, and peat. Tastes of chocolate roast, licorice, peat, and a bit of smoke. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with lush carbonation. Very nice stout, I love the darker beers from England and Scotland, makes me want to visit.

Black color with a nice creamy, dark tan head. Nice roasty chocolate aroma. Very smooth with only a touch of bitterness in the finish. A very nice session stout. At 4% I would be happy to drink this all night. I doubt I will ever see it on cask, so I can only wonder at how good it would be.

500 ml bottle from Jonathan Ron. Pours a very bubbly bodied solid black with a large soapy beige head. The initial aroma was very nice, dark chocolate, vanilla exract, slight coffee. However just moments later that nice aroma changes too a very grassy, rotting flowers, plastic scent, ugh where did that nice initial aroma go?? The body on this one is very thin with super bubbly lively carbonatin, sort of lke seltzer. Flavor has some decent burnt and roasted malts with chocolate notes and grassy hops. All in all this beer was a let down.

This could be classed as a stout light. A handsome beer that is so deep dark in color and rich looking. The head is truly impressive. After giving up on it fading away I finally drank through it. First impressions were of a nice biting stout. That quickly faded to a weak flavored, although pleasant brew. Most notable among the flavors was a nice fruitiness. However, the most distinct thing about this beer was its lack of substance. Hence the "light" comment. I enjoyed it, but was left wishing for more.
