(SCOTLAND) Black color brew with a dissipating med tan head. Aroma is of coffee and chocolate with a smooth dry roasted malt taste !!! Not very complex but well balanced, I think i would like to have another.

Black colour. Thick white creamy head. Sweet and somewhat smoky nose. Flavour is roasted, malty and slightly acidic, with hints of chocolate. A quite ordinary stout, still not bad.

Bottle. Strong coffee malty aroma but a pretty watery taste. Good but bark > bite.

Utterly black and opaque with a solid tan head. Dark roast coffee beens and cocoa on the nose. Flavour is less intense than the nose would promise, with some roasted chestnuts, some of the usual coffee and dark chocolate, and maybe a hint of vine fruit. Mouthfeel ever-so-slightly watery, but made up for by the lingering licorice and coffee finish with no astringency at all. Very good.

Looks pretty good - dark black but with a filtered gleam. Sharp liqueury chocolate smell and a dry roasted flavour that is quite smooth. Quite slick in the mouth, with a fairly long lasting taste - a bit surprising given it’s only 4% abv. Quite enjoyable - slides down easily indeed. (Thanks to highlandlad)

Black coffee appearance with a rich tan head that lasted until the end. Crisp and dry with some tobacco/smoked flavors. Lingering bitter, smoky finish. Very good for a dry stout.

Pours black, with a thick tan head. This beer is beautiful to look at. Aroma is strong. Roasted malts, coffee, and chocolate are predominant. But it totally lacks in flavor. There are some light roasted malt flavor but they are overshadowed by this strange saltiness. It's almost like baking soda saltiness.
