0,5 l bottle. Almost pitch black in the glass, with a moderate tan head. Powerful smoked and roasted aroma, almost like smoked bacon. Delicate roasted taste which turns slightly bitter, notes of dark chocolate. Dispite its watery mouthfeel, a decent stout

pours dark brown/black with thin milk chocolate head. Toasted chocolate on the nose with hints of toffee and caramel. Light bodied tastes of roasted toffe, burnt nuts and a finishes with chewey chocolate/mocha maltyness.

Dark and and great smell, even for a stout. Unfortunately, it seems the brewers forgot to add some flavor. This is like water. slight bitterness and smokiness, but you have to mull it over for a while.

Pours black with an off white head that lasts quite well. Smooth but thin texture with distinct chocolate flavors. Some nice hop bitterness in the finish.

Bottle (500ml). Poured black with a good sized, thick, foamy, tanned head which lasted extremely well. A rich chocolate aroma with toasted malts, cappuccino, leather and plums. Flavor was a mild sour/lactic bitterness with bitter/dark chocolate, black coffee, almond loaf, light woody notes, hints of prune juice and an earthy finish. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation, a dry mouthfeel, medium texture and a good length finish. A superb session stout - drinks well above its alcohol content.

Pours an ebony color, ith glints of a burnt brown peeking in around the edges. Aroma is roasted, with the typical and called for coffee and cocoa notes. Some dark fruits do seem to try and come through as well. The flavor is a bit odd, touch of acidity, and tons of coffee, but there is an odd component, herbal perhaps, that is a bit out of sorts. Not bad.

Pours black with a medium sized tan head. Aroma is roasty, slightly smoky malts, with hints of chocolate. Flavor is also roasty and smoky, but fairly light bodied for the style. Not bad.
