Large light brown head initially, then settles into a thin covering, lace is thin but coating. Nose is fruity up front followed by a light roast aroma and maybe a touch vinous. Body is medium, a hint chalky but with a silky mouthfeel, nice. Flavors of chocolate, light roast, cocoa and some earthy dirty notes as well. Finish is fairly dry, roasty and bittersweet. A decent little quaff.

Coffee and malt aroma. Quite similar to Tsunami Stout, but not as refined. Chocolate, Coffee, cream, malt. Overall its pretty good, nice lasting tan head, black body. It is thin, but it’s still pretty decent.

Bottled at DBF 2004. Black with an off-white head. Fruity aroma with notes of coffee. Smooth palate with a lot of hops in the flavour.

Very dark amber, almost black. Aroma is from cocoa and licorice. Flavor brings chocolate as well as cocoa and licorice. A little creamy feeling.

Pour is a dark black with a small tan head. Aroma is very smoky and roasted malt. Flavor is smoked meat with some coffee and molasses. For only being 4% this is quite a flavorful beer.

(on bottle)This is a really nice PORTER I´ll say. Lots of burned wood, smoke and heavy, dry fruits in the aroma, an good dry sip a and dry aftertaste. Like a real PORTER! Should it be judged as a stout, I´ll say that is misses the smoothiness totally.

Black with a viscous light brown head, nice lacing. Nice aroma is earthy with smoky blackened malts. Smooth medium body. Good flavor is earthy seaweed with dry blackened malts, and a hint of smoke. Better than what i expected.

Black with a huge, but quickly disappearing head. The aroma has notes of smoke and as long as it still is pretty cold, it reminds me of "Jerky", that is dried, smoked meat for dogs. When it gets warmer it’s licorice. The flavour is nice! it has smoke, malt, bitterness, chocolate, fruit and licorice. The finish has a nice bitterness. As it gets warmer it’s smoother and more chocolate-like. A lot of taste in spite of the low ABW - a like that!!
