Taste is roasted malt but there’s some sour fruit as well and a touch of bitter chocolate in the finish. It’s quite good. MPA (487), Nørrebro(formerly Aalborg), Denmark

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 5, 2006 Pours black with thin head that disappates rather quickly. Has a rather smokey aroma, flavor is balanced, with a fairly strong initial taste followed by a very smoky aftertaste; reminded me of roasted espresso bean. The richness of this stout does not measure up to others I have had, and the taste does not match the darkness and aroma. Still it is better than many, and while not a rogue or a guinness, it does offer a nice variety that should be sipped and enjoyed. ajolly2 (127), USA
