Bottle. Brown-black beer with a dark tan head. Big chocolate aroma with some roast. Roasty, slightly astringent flavor with some background chocolate and bitterness. Thinner body (but what to expect at 4%). LIngering dark roasty malts and chocolate.

Bottle. A pleasant enough stout. Pleasant aromas. Nice fluffy coffee coloured head. Nicely roasted. But nothing special.

Very dark brown, nearly opaque liquid w/ a thick beige head. Roasty and smokey on first whiff, toffee and malty sweetness comes around as it warms. No hoppy or fruity aromas, it's all about the dark grains w/ a buttery (diacetyl) as it warms. Smokey and bitter start just as with the aroma, but roast is not as apparent in flavor compared to aroma. Caramel & buttery flavors also come through when warmed but finishes dry and bitter, even though hop flavors are not present. Sourness from dark grains also presents itself when warm. The body seems a little thin, even for a dry stout and is hop astringent with low carbonation. I like stouts, specifically dry stouts, but this is not one of my favorites. Too hoppy/bitter, even for a dry stout and could be better if it had more malt to balance.

Bottled. DBF 2004. Dark brown. Rich flavour. Bready(vörtbröd) and richly malty stout this. Münchener malts, yes? Dry finish.

Pours a deep black color with a ring of light brown lace. Aroma and flavor of vanilla and coffee. The body is light with a creamy texture and low carbonation. I thought this would be way better, oh well...

poured a dark color w/ cascading look a large thick tan head good sticky lacing. Smelled fairly mild for a stout roasted malts light carmel and a hint of vanilla. Palate is over carbonated and overly thin. Flavor is very bland and weak a roasty almost smoked malt and not much else at all. Overall nothing special.

Decent black stout. Not overly thick or in your face but balanced with a bit of chocolate and coffee. This is a stout for your nonbeer buddy.

Poured a very dark brown, you could still see light through it. A thick brown head. Aroma was roasted malt with some coffee notes. Flavor was of roasted malts and a touch of coffee. This one was a bit watery as a stout for me.
