| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 28, 2004 Black with small beige coloured head, roasty, burnt flavours detected.
However it was a bit on the watery side.
Overall a nice beer, but not the best of its type. oh6gdx (8984), Vasa, Finland
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 4, 2005 Bottled. Black opaque, big brownish foamy head, thick lacing. At first very roasted aroma, later a bit sweetish barley and malt. Rich carbonation for being a stout. Very bready flavour with hints of roast. Leaves mouth a bit sticky. Otherwise very good, but the carbonation ruins it RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 3, 2008 Pours pitch black. Tan head. A big head at that. Nose is really nice chocolate tones. Smooth and consistent. Really good fragrance. Flavor is more bitter, but consistent. The chocolate may be on the nose, but it certainly isn’t on the flavor profile. The bitter smoothes out over time. Feel is nice and thick on the liquid. Good carbonation too. Drinkable, yes. Well made, just doesn’t have any crazy flavor characteristics, but who needs it. ogreface (327), Budapest, Hungary

Great color and malt flavor. Fullbodied with a very welcoming design. This is the beer Beowulf would drink! watson1977 (273), , Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 29, 2009 pours black with a medium sized mocha colored head...decent retentioin and lacing. aroma has mild chocolate, dark fruit, roastiness, milkiness, and hints of vanilla and peat...very nice! flavor is roasty and peaty with a touch of dark fruit but other flavors suggested by the aroma are unfortunately lost. moutfeel is creamy and lively with a lingering roasty-burnt finish. all in all a pretty nice stout! judasbeer (255), Budapest, Hungary
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 26, 2009 Bottle - 500 ml. Jet-black color with medium-sized, decent lacing, creamy brown head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, cocoa beans with
notes of peat and slight smokey character. Nice peaty, smokey flavor profile with chocolate and mocha dryness. Some resinous hop leaves and some lactic acid feel sensible at the medium. Silky and creamy on the palate with soft carbonation level. Medium lasting rather dry finish. Easy drinking, tasty, coffeish stout.
