Cask @ Bon Accord. Dark brown colour, tan head. Aroma of roasted malts and chocolate. Flavour has slight toasted malts, but a bit watery. Mediocre stout.

Cask @ The Wharf, Aalborg. Pours pitch black with a big frothy brown head. Great lacing. Aroma is complex; sweetish, tar, smoked + roasted malts. Notes of chocolate. Fruity notes appear as it warms. Flavour feels thin/watery compared to the aroma – a bit of a disappointment actually. Roasted notes. Finish is roasted as well, and with lingering grassy notes. An okay beer, but the aroma is way better than the flavour. 24-01-08.

Cask @The Wharf, Aalborg. Pours a pitch black colour with a small head. Soft roasty maltiness, smoke and some chocolate in the aroma. Rather thin mouthfeel. The flavour has roasted malt, smoke and bit of coffee.

Half pint cask at Charlies. Pours almost picthblack with a chocolate brown head. Vague aroma, slight citric and with a very faint note of malt. Roasted malt flavour with a mild chocolate smoothness. Hoppy fruityness and a nice bitterness into the finish.

Scotland 05. I have had this from bottle previously, and as I recall it was better? It’s brown/black with an OK head. The aroma is a bit smoked with a sourish touch. The flavour has light notes of chocolate, roasted malt, celery, a touch of smoke and a sourness that makes me wonder if the one, who served it, maybe forgot to clean the system this morning?
