| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 25, 2008 Cask @ The Wharf, Aalborg. Pours pitch black with a big frothy brown head. Great lacing. Aroma is complex; sweetish, tar, smoked + roasted malts. Notes of chocolate. Fruity notes appear as it warms. Flavour feels thin/watery compared to the aroma – a bit of a disappointment actually. Roasted notes. Finish is roasted as well, and with lingering grassy notes. An okay beer, but the aroma is way better than the flavour. 24-01-08. faroeviking (6025), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands

It’s brown/black with an OK head. The aroma is a bit smoked with a sourish touch. The flavour has light notes of chocolate, roasted malt, celery, a touch of smoke and a sourness that makes me wonder if the one, who served it, maybe forgot to clean the system this morning?
